Beautiful flowers for stitching on linens, cottons, and other items!  The first part of the design can be stitched using a lightweight cotton thread and a winged needle, as described in Creative Machine Embroidery (May/June 2003 issue).  This gives you a lacy background that the flower is then stitched on.  You can of course stitch it on in a contrasting color instead if you'd prefer!

These coordinate perfectly with the Small Floral Motifs design collection, and you save if you order both!

You can download a free sample of what this looks like here.  This is stitched on a cocktail napkin from www.allaboutblanks.com .  It was stitched with the first 3 "colors" being white bobbin thread, using a wing needle for the first "color".  Enjoy!
